Year 7 Starters
School place offers are sent out by Durham County Council on March 1st each year.
Please note that the school has no control or influence over the allocation of places.
We are delighted to welcome those of you who have been offered and accepted a place for September 2025.
There is a short period of time for offers to be finalised. After this, our transition team will be in touch via the email address on your application to offer advice and information regarding our transition process along with key dates. In the meantime, we will begin working with our partner primary schools behind the scenes to ensure that your child's transition to Durham Johnston Comprehensive School is smooth and successful experience.
The tabs above outline some specific information relevant to new intake Year 7s which you might find helpful. For more general information, we recommend that you explore the ‘Pastoral Care’ section of our website, which offers a comprehensive overview of life at Durham Johnston Comprehensive School, and the 'Learning' menu, which covers information about our subjects and curriculum.
