Confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the school
Dear Parents and Carers,
Whenever we are advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school, we act quickly and carefully, following the national guidance, to identify any students who have been in confirmed close contact with the affected individual.
We follow all national guidance by isolating those students in school quickly and contacting the parents or carers of those affected. We provide formal written guidance from Public Health England to both the student and the parents or carers of those affected on the next steps and any required period of isolation.
Following national guidance, we only contact the parents and carers of those students who are directly affected. Therefore, if you are not contacted by the school, your child has not been in confirmed close contact, and there is no need for your child to isolate.
