Results Day Update for Year 13 Students
A Level results will be made available on Thursday 13th August and, each year, we think carefully about how to support and advise students on a very important day in their lives. In July Mrs Lennon wrote to all students with our plans for the results day and I would recommend that you read her overview very carefully in preparation for Thursday:

I would reiterate that social distancing and safety are of paramount importance and it would be sensible to wear a mask when collecting your results. Please also bring a pen so that you can complete a brief form about your next steps and we will offer a significant level of support for those students who need help with any questions concerning university places. In addition to receiving your results you will be given a letter, guidance from Ofqual and information about result queries.
Ofqual have also produced some very helpful materials that I recommend you read in advance. They include a ‘Student Guide to Post-16 Qualification Results’, and a video that explains the results process. Both are very useful in providing context for this year’s results and the process that Ofqual have used.
There has been a steady drum beat of speculation and rumour regarding this year’s results and I’m aware that it will have been hard to ignore the daily media coverage. Please try to do so, as your teachers worked very closely with you over 2 or 7 years; they know you very well and the school worked very hard to make sure that grades were fair and reflected your potential. Above all else, remember that Thursday is a celebration of all that you have achieved in your time with us and that we will do all that we can help you to make sure that your next steps are successful.
Best wishes for Thursday.
Mr O’Sullivan
