Dear parents and carers,
The weather has been on all of our minds over the past few days, and our thoughts are with those people who have had so much of their lives disrupted due to the harsh winds and torrential rain, particularly in the south of the country.
The school has a history of remaining open at all times, even when weather is particularly bad. We are fortunate that the school is well situated to avoid any closures. Just a reminder, that in the event the school should need to close for any reason then we will communicate this to parents via the text messaging service and will ensure that regular bulletins are posted on the school’s website. Information regarding school closures can be found on the Local Authorities website www.durham.gov.uk/schoolclosures and you can also view the school's documentation on 'Bad Weather Protocol' under policies
It is half term next week; I would ask you to ensure that your children spend some time relaxing, as well as focusing on school work or revision, in order that they are refreshed for the challenges of the next few weeks’ work up until Easter.
